Best GCSE Results Ever!

“Cantonian High School pupils celebrate best ever results!”

Pupils, parents and staff at Cantonian High School are celebrating their GCSE results today with pupils’ outcomes once again showing year-on-year improvement. These achievements are of particular note as they reflect the ongoing significant changes to GCSEs as part of the current educational reform in Wales and the first entry rule applying for the first time.

Headteacher, Diane Gill said “I am incredibly proud of the achievements of our pupils today as they have secured excellent results and achieved their own personal targets. This has only been possible through their hard work and commitment to their studies during their time at Cantonian and the support they have received from their parents and carers. It has given me and my staff great pleasure to be able to celebrate these results with all our pupils today and to wish them the best of luck for their future studies.

The results our pupils have achieved today brings an end to a very successful year and cements the findings from our recent Estyn inspection, where the school was identified as being GOOD in all inspections areas; the second highest grading possible.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank all the teaching and support staff for their hard work and dedication who have helped our pupils to secure these excellent results”.
